Faulkner received a BA in journalism from California State University, Northridge in 1994 at attended the University of Missouri, Columbia Photojournalism Workshop. He worked as a staff photographer for several at the Santa Rosa Press Democrat and Contra Costa News, Inc. Faulkner left California for Poland in 1999 to become the Photography Editor of the Warsaw Business Journal. He worked there for two and a half years. For another year and a half, he worked as a freelance photographer for a variety of publications. Faulkner's freelance clients include the Los Angeles Times, Associated Press, the Contra Costa Times, Axel Springer Publications, Macmillan Publishing and Amnesty International. He has received numerous awards from the National Press Photographers Association, California Press Photographers Association, and California Newspaper Publishers Association. |
